Kwiatuszki Małe ( German  Klein Blumenau ) is a small settlement ( Polish kolonia ) in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community Rozogi (Friedrichshof) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).

geography

Kwiatuszki Małe is located in the southeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and 35 kilometers southeast of the district town of Szczytno (Ortelsburg) on a country road that connects Kwiatuszki Wielkie (Groß Blumenau) with Faryny (Farienen) . Until 1962 Faryny was the next station on the railway line from Spychowo (Puppen) to Myszyniec (Mischinietz) , which was operated by the Ortelsburger Kleinbahn before 1945 , but is no longer used today.

history

The village, called Klein Blumenau until 1945, consisted of only two small farms. It was founded before 1811.

In 1874, Klein Blumenau came into the newly established District Farienen (today Polish: Faryny) in the district of Szczytno in the Administrative district Königsberg (1905-1945 Administrative district Allenstein ) the Prussian province of East Prussia . At the end of the 19th century, Klein Blumenau was incorporated into the rural community of Kowallik (now in Polish: Kowalik), which in turn was renamed "Waldburg" in 1928 after the neighboring village of Waldburg (now no longer existent) was incorporated.

As a result of the war, Klein Blumenau came to Poland with southern East Prussia and was given the Polish name "Kwiatuszki Małe". The small settlement now belongs to the Gmina Rozogi (Friedrichshof) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ) in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (1975 to 1998 Ostrołęka Voivodeship ).

church

The majority of the population classified Blumenau before 1945 was a Protestant denomination and in the parish of the Church Friedrichshof (today Polish: Rozogi) in the parish of Szczytno (Szczytno) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches involved.

Today a predominantly Catholic population lives in Kwiatuszki Małe , whose parish church is the former Protestant church in Rozogi and belongs to the Rozogi deanery in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Catholic Church in Poland . Protestant church members living here are now incorporated into the parish of Szczytno in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
