The Liwa (German: love ) is a river that has its source in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and flows into the Nogat below Kwidzyn (Marienwerder) .

The 111.4 km long river rises from the small lake Jezioro Januszewskie ( Januschauer See ) on the edge of the landscape park Park Krajobrazowy Pojezerza Iławskiego (Gmina Iława ) ( German Eylau ) in the macroregion Pojezierze Iławskie (Eylauer Lake District), flows from there in predominantly westward Direction in the Jezioro Dzierzgoń ( Sorgensee ), shortly afterwards reaches the small town Prabuty ( giant castle ), flows further to the west, flows around the town of Kwidzyn ( Marienwerder ) in the south and then follows the valley of the Vistula to the north in a northerly direction until it briefly after its branching off from the Vistula at Biała Góra ( Weißenberg ) reaches its estuary Nogat .
