The Powiat Jeleniogórski is a powiat ( district ) in the Polish Voivodeship of Lower Silesia with its seat in the independent city of Jelenia Góra ( Hirschberg ). The district has an area of ​​628 km², on which around 60,000 people live.

geography

The powiat Jeleniogórski is located in the south of Poland, in the Giant Mountains , borders the Czech Republic in the south and belongs to the Neisse Euroregion . The district encloses the district town Jelenia Góra, which does not belong to it, but is free of a district. Neighboring districts are Lwówek Śląski in the west, Złotoryja in the north , and Jawor and Kamienna Góra in the east .
