The powiat Wałbrzyski is a powiat ( district ) in the southern Polish Voivodeship of Lower Silesia . The district town is the town of Wałbrzych (German: Waldenburg ), which is independent and does not belong to the powiat itself. The district has around 180,000 inhabitants on an area of ​​514.18 km².
