The powiat Wrocławski is a powiat ( district ) south and east of the Lower Silesian capital Breslau (Wrocław) in Poland . It belongs to the Lower Silesian Voivodeship , the district town is the independent Breslau. Around 100,000 people live in an area of 1,116 km².

All major towns in the urban and rural municipalities have city rights. An exception was the Gmina Siechnice until the end of 2009 , whose eponymous capital was the village Święta Katarzyna (Kattern) and only became the town of Siechnice on January 1, 2010 .
The district area is not identical to the former district of Wroclaw .
