history
As a former Vorwerk of Zechlin (today in Polish: Żychlin), the place formerly known as Karlshöhe is closely connected to the history of this village and was a place within the municipality of Zechlin until 1945. It belonged to the administrative and civil registry district Langeböse (Pogorzelice) in the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .
Towards the end of the Second World War , Karlshöhe was occupied by the Soviet Army on March 9, 1945 . As a result of the war, the place became part of Poland as Chlewnica .
The village is now part of the rural community Potęgowo in the powiat Słupski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship (from 1975 to 1998 Slupsk Voivodeship ). 30 people live here today.
church
Until 1945, the predominantly Protestant Karlshöhe was parish in the parish of Schurow (today Polish: Skórowo) in the church district of Stolp-Altstadt in the church province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Heinz Suhr .
For Chlewnica, which has been predominantly Catholic since 1945 , the parish office connection to Skórowo ( Schurow ) remained. However, the parish is now incorporated into the Deanery Główczyce ( Glowitz ) in the Pelplin diocese of the Catholic Church in Poland . Evangelical church members living here now belong to the Kreuzkirche parish in Słupsk in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
school
In terms of school, the former Karlshöhe was oriented towards Zechlin.
