history

The village was laid out in the form of a small alley village. Like the neighboring Schierwens manor, the Neitzkow manor was a fiefdom of members of the Stojentin family in 1519 . In 1590 there were two farmers and three uninhabited or 'desert' farms in the village, two of which were used for sheep farming. In 1628 Jürgen von Wobeser is named as the owner. Part of Neitzkow and the Schierwens estate were sold by Peter Otto von Stojentin to Gneomar von Hoym in 1683 . In 1727 Gneomar Reinhold von Hoym sold Schierwens and part of Neitzkow to captain Heinrich Wilhelm von Somnitz , who also took the other part of Neitzkow. Later, his widow gave both properties to Lieutenant Colonel Wulff Christian von Natzmer . The goods were later passed on to members of the Münchow family . In 1778 the Johanniter knight Carl Gustav Graf von Münchow received amelioration funds amounting to 3,200 Reichstalers to improve his estates in Schierwens, Nietzkow and Mickrow.

Around 1784 there was a farm in Neitzkow, four farmers and a total of five households. At that time the estate was owned by Carl Alexander Graf von Münchow. From 1796–1804 the estate was owned by a member of the Schlieffen family . In 1812 the captain was a. D. Johann Ernst Ludewig von Schlieffen the owner of Neitzkow and Schierwens. After that, Neitzkow belonged to a member of the Weiher family . In 1843 Balthasar Heinrich Fähnrich bought the Neitzkow estate for 54,000 thalers . In 1884 the 1,034 hectare estate belonged to Louis Schulze. After several changes of ownership, the estate came to the Pomeranian Landgesellschaft Stettin in 1931. It was then partially settled. The remnants with an area of 202 hectares were owned by Wilhelm Becker in 1938.

In 1925 there were thirteen residential buildings in Neitzkow. In 1939 there were 69 households and 301 residents. Besides the estate, there were 26 farms in Neitzkow.

Before 1945 Neitzkow belonged to the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin of the Pomerania province . The municipal area was 1,027 hectares. In the municipality there was next to the village of Neitzkow the residential area Grünhof.

Towards the end of World War II , Neitzkow was occupied by the Soviet Army on March 9, 1945 after fighting had taken place in the area . In April 1945 the village was placed under Polish administration. The farms were taken over by Poles and the German villagers had to work for them. The Poles shot a woman. The villager Georg Moldenhauer was brought to Pottangow by the Polish militia and murdered. The German villagers of Neitzkow were subsequently expelled . Neitzkow was renamed Nieckowo .
