Żochówko , also commonly known as Kolonia Żochówko (German Neu Sochow , kasch. Nowé Żochòwò ) is a small town in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Potęgowo ( Pottnagow ) in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp district ).
Geographical location and transport links
Żochówko is located on the left bank of the Lupow (Łupawa) one kilometer north of Żochowo near the Polish state road 6 (former German Reichsstraße 2 ). The nearest train station is in Potęgowo, eight kilometers away on the railway line from Gdańsk to Stargard .
history
Historically, the former Neu Sochow is closely connected to the municipality of Sochow (now in Polish: Żochowo), as the outskirts of which it was created. About the municipality of Sochow it belonged to the administrative and civil registry district Wendisch Karstnitz (1938-1945 Ramnitz , today Polish: Karznica) in the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania until 1945 . In 1945 the place became Polish under the name Kolonia Żochówko or Żochówko and is now a village in the Gmina Potęgowo in the Powiat Słupski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship (1975-1998 Slupsk Voivodeship ). The connection to the former Sochow has remained: Żochówko belongs to the Schulzenamt Żochowo .

On the evangelical side, the place is incorporated into the cross parish in Słupsk ( Stolp ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
