Otwin

Otwin was a German instrument manufacturer that made bowed and plucked instruments. The company was founded in 1903 by the trained violin maker Otto Windisch in Schilbach (now part of Schöneck ) in the Kingdom of Saxony . After Windisch's death in 1935, his son Johannes, who had also trained as a violin maker with his father, took over the business. The company existed until 1973, after which it was taken over by VEB Sinfonia Markneukirchen . In 1984 the VEB Sinfonia was finally affiliated to the VEB Musima .
