Radosław (Potęgowo)
Radosław (German Hermannshöhe ) is a village in the municipality Potęgowo in the Powiat Słupski ( Stolp district ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .
Geographical location
The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 31 kilometers east-northeast of the city of Słupsk ( Stolp ), 17 kilometers west of the city of Lębork ( Lauenburg in Pomerania ) and three kilometers south of the village of Stowięcino ( Stojentin ).
history
The village of Hermannshöhe was created in 1912/13 through the settlement of the Hermannshöhe suburb of the Gohren manor ; it was the youngest village in the Stolp district . The Pomeranian Landgesellschaft had created 28 new settlements here. The new settlement was initially part of the Gohren estate and then became an independent municipality after the Prussian estate districts were dissolved.
Before 1945 Hermannshöhe belonged to the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin in the province of Pomerania . The parish area was 330 hectares. There were no places to live in the municipality next to the village of Hermannshöhe . In 1925 there were 27 residential buildings in Hermmanshöhe. In 1939 there were 27 farms in the municipality, and there were 34 households and 139 inhabitants.
Towards the end of the Second World War , Hermannshöhe was occupied by the Red Army on March 9, 1945 . Attempts to flee previously made by the village population had failed. The residents all had to return to their village. After the end of the war Hermannshöhe was placed under Polish administration together with the whole of Western Pomerania. Polish citizens took over the property between August 1945 and the beginning of 1946 and let the previous villagers work for them free of charge until they were all expelled .
Later, 33 villagers displaced from Hermannshöhe were identified in the Federal Republic of Germany and 78 in the GDR .
The village of Radosław has about 130 inhabitants today.
