The Gmina Potęgowo is a rural municipality in the powiat Słupski of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It has an area of ​​227.9 km² and about 7000 inhabitants. Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Pottangow , Kashubian Pòtãgòwò ) with about 1400 inhabitants.

The rural community is located in Western Pomerania , about 25 kilometers east of Słupsk (Stolp) . The waters include the rivers Łupawa (Lupow) , Łeba (Leba) and Darżyńska Struga (Darsiner Bach), which flows through a glacial valley.

Neighboring municipalities are: Cewice (Zewitz) , Czarna Dąbrówka (Schwarz Damerkow) , Damnica (Hebrondamnitz) , Dębnica Kaszubska (Rathsdamnitz) , Główczyce (Glowitz) and Nowa Wieś Lęborska (Neuendorf) .

South of Potęgowo, the national road DK 6 ( Europastraße 28 , formerly German Reichsstraße 2 ) runs from Stettin to Gdansk .

In the north of Potęgowo the station is on the PKP line 202 from Stargard to Gdansk.
