Głuszynko

Głuszynko (German Klein Gluschen ) is a village in the powiat Słupski of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 28 kilometers east of Słupsk ( Stolp ), three kilometers northeast of Potęgowo ( Pottangow ) and 78 kilometers west of the regional metropolis of Danzig ( Gdańsk ).

history

Głuszynko was a noble estate. In 1617 Peter Ritzen was enfeoffed with Klein Gluschen by Duke Bogislaw X. In 1653 the estate came to Bogislaw Otto von Hoym , in 1688 to Joachim Ernst von Grumbkow and in the 18th century to Major General Peter Christoph von Zitzewitz . Around 1784 there was a farm in Klein Gluschen, a farmer, eight cottagers , a schoolmaster and a total of 18 households. In 1925 there were 37 houses in Klein Gluschen; In 1939 there were 319 inhabitants, who were distributed over 71 households. The estate was last owned by the Hirsekorn family .

Before the end of the Second World War was small Gluschen office of the administrative district Klein Gluschen in county Stolp , administrative region of Pomerania , the province of Pomerania . The parish area was 713 hectares. Klein Gluschen was the only place of residence within the Klein Gluschen district.

Towards the end of World War II, the region was occupied by the Red Army on March 9, 1945 . After the end of the war, Klein Gluschen and the whole of Western Pomerania were placed under Polish administration. Later Poles appeared and took over houses and farms. In the period that followed, the villagers were driven out .

158 villagers displaced from Klein Gluschen were later identified in the Federal Republic of Germany and 61 in the GDR .

In 2008 Głuszynko had 250 inhabitants.
