Julius Theodor Bagmihl († around 1858 ) was a painter and drawing teacher in Stettin in the 19th century .

The Pomeranian Wappenbuch , which appeared in five volumes in Stettin between 1846 and 1855, can be regarded as his outstanding life's work . In addition to coats of arms , this also includes images of seals and more or less brief outlines of individual families of the Pomeranian nobility , their documented mentions and property ownership.

The so-called Bagmihl Collection was bought from his estate in 1858 by the Stettin State Archives . These are collections of material on the history of the Pomeranian nobility and genealogies of individual families. It was there under the signature Rep. 40: III No. 2 to 6, 25, 31. IV No. 2, 10, 12.

Through his work, Bagmihl made a significant contribution to the collection and fixation of the Pomeranian regional history .
