Pomeranian heraldic book

Pomeranian Wappenbuch drawn and provided with a description of the coats of arms and historical evidence is the title of a reference work dealing with the coats of arms of the Pomeranian noble families in five volumes. The presented material was compiled and drawn by Julius Theodor Bagmihl and published by HG Effenbart's Erbinn .

Bagmihl dedicates his work to the Pomeranian President Wilhelm von Bonin († 1852), who died shortly before the first volume was published .

In addition to naming various historical and second-related current coats of arms, Bagmihl also provides comprehensive information on historical seals , which he also has illustrations follow.

The coats of arms and seal images themselves are black and white, tingings result from the blazon in the text part.

The text attached to the heraldic book contains documents taken from documents and other sources about the first mention of the sexes in Pomerania, possibly details about the death of the same, status surveys , the property, individual subjects from the families, division into different lines and family foundations .

Right at the beginning, volume 5 contains a general index of all the genders dealt with in volumes 1–5.
