The Koszalin – Goleniów ( German  Köslin – Gollnow ) line is a branch line of the Polish State Railways (PKP) in the north of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

history

Nowogard train station
Gryfice train station

The East Pomeranian Railway of the Berlin-Szczecin Railway Company reached the town of Köslin ( Koszalin in Polish ) in 1859 and from there in 1869 the town of Stolp ( Słupsk ). Kolberg (Kołobrzeg) had been connected to the railway since 1859 via a line coming from Belgard (Białogard).

In 1882 the Altdamm-Colberg Railway Company opened the railway line from Altdamm (Szczecin-Dąbie) via Gollnow (Goleniów) to Kolberg. In Gollnow the railway line was connected to the line to Wollin (Wolin) and Cammin (Kamień Pomorski) in 1892 . At the same time, the Prussian State Railroad took over the management between Altdamm and Gollnow. In 1899 the company extended the route to Köslin. In 1903 the company was nationalized.

The total distance to Kołobrzeg is 80 km / h (locomotive-hauled passenger trains) or 90 km / h (multiple units) or 60 km / h (freight trains), to Mosty with 100 km / h or 120 km / h or 70 km / h, then 80 to 100 km / h or 100 km / h or 60 to 70 km / h. Electric operation between Koszalin and Kołobrzeg has been possible since October 29, 1988.

According to sources, a railway line between the Mosty R301 junction and the Stettin-Goleniów Airport (in Polish: Port Lotniczy Szczecin Goleniów ) from the direction of Nowogard is said to have existed as early as 1985 .

With the construction of an airport train station with passenger traffic, a connecting curve from Mosty R302 from the direction of Goleniów was built, which was put into operation on September 6, 2013 and on which trains have been able to run at 100 km / h since December 8, 2014 after upgrading the route.
