The Port Lotniczy Szczecin Goleniów stop is an airport train station in Glewice in the Polish municipality of Goleniów . The breakpoint is at the end of a four kilometer long branch line (line 434) of the railway Koszalin-Goleniów , on the regional trains from Szczecin Główny after Kolobrzeg run, for passengers on international which direct airport Szczecin-Goleniów ( Polish port Lotniczy Szczecin Goleniów ) allow.
history
According to sources, a railway line between the Mosty R301 junction and the Stettin-Goleniów airport from Nowogard should have existed as early as 1985 .
With the construction of the airport train station with passenger traffic, a connecting curve from Mosty R302 from the direction of Goleniów was built, which was put into operation on September 6, 2013 and on which trains have been able to run at 100 km / h since December 8, 2014 after upgrading the route .
The covered platform is about 100 m from the airport and is connected to it by direct access.
The inaugural train ran on May 29, 2013, and regular train service began on September 6, 2013. The journey time from Szczecin is around 45 minutes and from Kołobrzeg 90 minutes.
There are two speed limits on the route due to limited visibility at intersections. Of the four level crossings along the route, two are secured by permanently closed gates, while two are unsecured.
The construction was carried out as part of the implementation of the modernization program of the 402 Goleniów – Kołobrzeg regional railway line with the construction of a connection to the Szczecin – Goleniów airport . The investment funds of 67 million zloty were made available by the European Union .
