Kamień Pomorski Railway Station ( Cammin )

history

In 1892 (opening date: July 15) the railway line from Stettin via Altdamm (Dąbie) and Gollnow (Goleniów) to Wietstock (Wysoka Kam.) Was built and was divided into one section to Wollin (Wolin) and the other Cammin (Kamień Pomorski). 14 years later, on December 24, 1906, the connecting line from Cammin to Treptow ad Rega (Trzebiatów) was put into operation. This second section was shut down in 1945 as a result of the war and most of it was dismantled.

The first section of the railway line from Wysoka Kamieńska to Kamień Pomorski grew in importance and was electrified in 1982. Since 2001, the route has been allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 80 km / h. However, since 2007 there has been a speed limit between Górki Pomorskie ( Görke ) and Kamień Pomorski, where only 60 km / h are permitted.
