The Piepenburg – Regenwalde railway is a former branch line that was operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) until 1945 and is now on Polish territory within the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

course

The only 15.5 km long railway line between Piepenburg ( Polish: Wyszogóra ) and Regenwalde (Resko) ran in a west-east direction and ran through the southwestern district of Regenwalde in Western Pomerania (in what is now the area of the two districts of Gryficki ( German:  Greifenberg ) and Łobeski ) until 1945 ( Labes )). It was located in the area of the Reich Railway Directorate Stettin and connected the former district town of Regenwalde directly with the Kolberg – Gollnow – Stettin railway without the detour via Plathe (Płoty).

History

The Piepenburg – Regenwalde railway was opened on November 1, 1893. At that time it only led to Regenwalde Süd train station. The connection to the Regenwalde Nord station was put into operation on May 1, 1907, thus establishing the connection to the Wurow – Wietstock railway .

As a result of the Second World War, the railway line was no longer in service after 1945 and has largely been dismantled.
