Naugarder Bahnen
The Naugarder Bahnen had been part of the Pomeranian State Railways since January 1, 1940 and was administered by the Naugard State Railways Office.
history
The rural county Naugard in Central Pomerania east of the Oder had late 19th century, a rather wide-meshed rail network. This was then condensed by the routes of four small railway companies. Initially, it was the narrow-gauge railways of the Saatziger Kleinbahnen, the Regenwald Kleinbahnen and the Greifenberger Kleinbahnen.
Finally, the Naugard district itself took the initiative and founded its own railway operation, in which the Pomeranian Provincial Association and the Prussian state were also involved. These Naugarder Kleinbahnen opened standard-gauge railway lines, which started from the two largest cities in the district in a south-easterly direction:
From August 30, 1902, a 20 km long railway led from the district capital Naugard to Daber Nord and from December 14, 1903 from Gollnow , which with over 10,000 people had about twice as many inhabitants as Naugard, a second route after the 17 km away Small town of Massow , which was the seat of a district court.
From May 10, 1913, the end point Daber Nord was connected to Daber Süd by a 1.5 km long track , where the Saatziger and Regenwalder Kleinbahnen met since 1895/96. This created a junction for three small railways.
The operation was first run by the Prussian State Railways, then in 1910 the Provincial Association of Pomerania took over this task. From 1920 the railway belonged to the Vereinigung Mittelpommerscher Kleinbahnen GmbH. In 1937 it was replaced by the Pomeranian State Railway Directorate until it was incorporated into the Pomeranian State Railways on January 1, 1940.
In 1939 the vehicle fleet comprised: 5 steam locomotives, 1 railcar, 6 passenger cars, 2 pack wagons and 33 freight cars.
