Jarchlino (German Jarchlin ) is a village in the urban and rural community Nowogard ( Naugard ) in the powiat Goleniowski ( Gollnower Kreis ) of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Jarchlino ( Jarchlin ) is located in Western Pomerania , about seven kilometers east of the small town of Nowogard ( Naugard ), 31 kilometers northeast of the small town of Goleniów ( Gollnow ) and 52 kilometers northeast of the regional metropolis of Szczecin .

The large stone graves at Jarchlin , two grave systems of the Neolithic beaker culture, came from prehistoric times . They were destroyed in the 19th century.

The village (formerly Jarchelin , also called Grecholin in older documents ) was mentioned as a church village in 1491 when the von Dewitz brothers appointed a pastor there. Around 1780 there were Jarchlin a Vorwerk with a manor house, a sheep , a forge , a water mill , one at the border of the neighboring village Lasbeck location Brickyard , eleven full farmers , among whom is the operator of the local inn was a preacher, a sexton and a total of 31 households. The owner of the estate around 1780 was August Friedrich von Bismarck .

Before 1945 Jarchlin was a municipality in the Naugard district in the Prussian province of Pomerania . There were six places of residence in the 15.7 km² municipal area:

  4. Kniephof (now in Polish Konarzewo ) b. Great Sabow
  5. Sack yard
  6. Vorwerk Jarchlin

Jarchlin was the main place of residence of the Jarchlin community. At the beginning of the 1930s there were a total of 55 inhabited houses in the municipality.

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was occupied by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 and shortly afterwards it was placed under Polish administration together with the whole of Western Pomerania. The immigration of Polish civilians began in Jarchlin. Jarchlin received the Polish name Jarchlino . In the following period the inhabitants were from their village sold .

Jarchlino is now part of the administrative district of Gmina Nowogard ( urban and rural community Naugard ) in the powiat Goleniowski ( Gollnower district ) and currently has about 250 inhabitants.

The church, built using boulders, dates from the 17th century. The Protestant parish of Jarchlin belonged to the Synod of Daber and had branches in the neighboring villages of Radem and Justemin . The neighboring property Kniephof was part of the parish of Jarchlin .
