The railway line Bzowo Goraj – Piła (Sagen-Goray – Schneidemühl) is a partly only freight traffic, partly disused railway line in the Polish Voivodeship of Greater Poland .

course

The line branches off from the Inowrocław – Drawski Młyn (No. 206) railway line at Bzowo Goraj ( Sagen-Goray / Sagen ) station and continues to operate as a freight service to the station in the district town of Czarnków ( Czarnikau / Scharnikau ; km 6,849) It is decommissioned, from there via the port on the Gwda ( Küddow ) near Ujście Noteckie ( Usch ; km 33.231) to the junction Piła Główna ( Schneidemühl ; km 43.087), the north-east route to Mirosław Ujski ( Miroslaw / Buschhagen ; km 29.176) is partly due to the former Royal Prussian Eastern Railway , it is only operated in freight traffic.

The maximum speed on the Bzowo Goraj – Czarnków section, which is now number 390, is twenty to thirty kilometers per hour, whereby only passenger traffic, which currently does not exist regularly, is allowed to drive a short distance up to the kilometer point 0.769 thirty The Mirosław Ujski – Piła section, the maximum speed for all types of train is forty kilometers per hour.

history

The first section of the branch line, Sagen-Goray-Czarnkau, was opened by the Prussian State Railways in April 1897. The middle section, Czarnkau – Jablonowo, was opened for freight traffic in October 1912, and in June 1913 together with the last section, Jablonowo – Schneidemühl, also for passenger traffic.

The 1914 summer timetable provided for four continuous pairs of trains, mostly coming from Kreuz . He also provided for two pairs of multiple units Usch-Schneidemühl and a single train Sagen-Goray-Czarnkau.

After the First World War, the route south of the network came to Poland, and traffic over it ceased. In 1936 three trains a day ran to Usch and two to Schneidemühl. After the German occupation of Poland it was resumed, but stopped again at the end of the war. After the route had come completely to Poland, it was resumed.

In 1989, passenger traffic from Czarnków – Piła was discontinued by the Polish State Railways , the rest of the section in October 1993. Freight traffic between Mirosław and Czarnków was subsequently also discontinued.
