history

Lottin, an old church village, is one of several villages that members of the Hertzberg family founded in the 13th century in Western Pomerania. In 1784 there were nine farms in Lottin owned by aristocratic families, a preacher , a sexton , 20 half-farmers , 13 cottagers , four Büdner , an inn, two blacksmiths and 53 fireplaces (households). In 1939 Lottin had 1,591 inhabitants. Until 1945 Lottin belonged to the Neustettin district of the Prussian province of Pomerania .

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was conquered by the Red Army and - like all of Eastern Pomerania - part of Poland. The place now received the Polish place name Lotyń .
