Since Musike is in it was a Saturday night show of the television of the GDR .
The entertainment program first went on air in 1968 in the first program of GDR television and always took place in the House of the Cheerful Muse in Leipzig. It was moderated by Reiner Süß until it was hired in 1985 . There is music in it and it was broadcast alternately with other Saturday evening shows such as “The Kessel” and was a prestige object of GDR television entertainment.
Artists such as Chris Doerk , Lili Ivanova , Nina Lizell , Hauff & Henkler , Gerd Christian , Monika Herz , Peter Albert , Helga Brauer , Dean Reed , Václav Neckář , Peggy March , Paola Felix and Leni Statz performed in the music .
