Peter Albert (musician)

Peter Albert (born December 17, 1946 in Erfurt , † December 30, 2001 in Berlin ) was a German pop singer, composer and lyricist.

Life

After Albert graduated from the POS in Erfurt in 1963 after the 10th grade , he began an apprenticeship as a wholesaler . From 1964 to 1969 he learned to play the guitar at the Erfurt Music School. During this time he toured the GDR with his own band . In 1971 Albert completed a vocal degree at the Central Studio for Entertainment Art in Berlin, which he completed in 1972 with the stage maturity.

With his first hit in 1970, You probably have boredom , Albert achieved the status of a professional singer. His biggest hit Don't Turn Around was in 1975 seventeen weeks in first place on the radio hit parade Schlagerrevue . In 1990 Dieter Birr and Peter Meyer from the Puhdys wrote the titles Wiedersehen and Drink a glass of wine with me for Albert .

Albert appeared in all the major entertainment shows on German television , Ein Kessel Buntes , There is music in it , the Helga Hahnemann Show and Klock 8, aft stream .

Foreign tours took Albert to Cuba , the Soviet Union , Mongolia , the Netherlands and Austria .

Peter Albert died of a heart attack . He was married to his wife Inge, a former dancer who also danced in television ballet. The marriage produced a son.
