Nina Lizell
Nina Lizell (born September 1, 1944 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish pop singer .
Life
After graduating from high school in Stockholm, she completed several foreign language courses in London , Paris and Geneva , with the professional goal of becoming a stewardess. She started singing and quickly became popular in Sweden. From 1966 she was in Germany, among other places, where she was discovered in a talent competition and in the same year she also recorded her first record Du go pass . She appeared in the first color television broadcast on ARD on August 26, 1967, the gala evening of the record . At the international hit competition Golden Orpheus 1969 in Bulgaria , she took fourth place. With the title A little devil is in you , she also took part in the 1970 German Schlager competition in Mainz.
She performed in both the FRG and the GDR . In 1969 she celebrated her first hit in the GDR with Smoking in the forest is prohibited , which was then released in 1970 by the singer Bonnie St. Claire in the FRG. She created another evergreen with The Man in the Panama Hat . She sang in almost all popular German TV shows such as the gala evening of the record, music from Studio B , Da lies Musike drin , Klock 8, aft Strom , Ein Kessel Buntes , ZDF hit parade , Der goldene Schuss and German Schlager Festival , Zum Blauen Bock . The ZDF and Swedish Television / SR-produced her 1973 show Tak is thank you . Together with Heiner Stelter , she presented the current showroom of the North German Radio on February 28, 1987 . In total there were around 100 television programs in which she participated. Her AMIGA LP 'Nina Lizell' alone sold over 1.6 million copies in the GDR , according to Superillu . Lizell also had her own TV show in Sweden for a time and received a gold record for the duet title Vem kan segla förutan vind together with Lee Hazlewood . She sang u. a. also in a duet with Britt Kersten , Ireen Sheer , Horst Köbbert , Hana Buštíková (from the duo Hana & Dana ), Gavin du Porter and Pawel Nowak .
She also toured Eastern Europe as well as Venezuela and Cuba .
After their wedding in the mid-1970s, she followed her husband, the Icelandic composer Thor Baldursson, to Los Angeles in the USA . In 1982 Nina Lizell returned to Sweden with her children Christian and Carina. Her comeback in Germany began in 1996. In 1999 she released two maxi- CDs , both of which hit the airplay charts, Say I need you and Live with you .
In addition to her native Swedish , Lizell also speaks Danish , Norwegian , German, English and French .
Nina Lizell appears regularly in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland at gala and live events as well as in television programs.
On her 70th birthday, Lizell made a musical comeback and released new titles and is back on television.
Nina Lizell was a guest on the MDR Christmas show with Frank Schöbel on December 24th, 2014 and presented titles from her mini Christmas album Jul, jul, strålande jul (Christmas, Christmas, glorious Christmas) .
She celebrated her 50th stage anniversary in Germany in the MDR show Musik für Sie in June 2017, where her theme song Dankeschön also celebrated its TV premiere . In Sweden she released the CD Tusen tack! (50 år som artist) on the label Dos Santos Entertainment .
In Germany, she released the single Miracle exists in 2019 . On her 75th birthday, the album Anniversary was released in September 2019 . In January 2020 she received the smago! Award in connection with 50 years of the ZDF hit parade.
