Britt Kersten

Britt Kersten (born February 18, 1939 ) is a German pop singer who was very popular in the GDR .

Life

She was successful with her first record productions until a serious car accident in 1964 halted Kersten's career for a year. After her recovery, Amiga singles appeared, which were also published in the Federal Republic. Britt Kersten was seen in all of the DFF's entertainment programs . She sang many duet titles with the Polish singer Bert Hendrix . Britt Kersten is widowed, she was married for more than 40 years to the composer Gerhard Siebholz , who composed almost all of the songs for her. Also Arndt bause and Ralf Petersen wrote titles for Britt Kersten. The singer is no longer on stage, she is enjoying her retirement in Berlin.

On her 70th birthday, a CD was released in 2009 , on which the record company selected 22 tracks from a huge pool of recordings made between 1964 and 1978.
