Bonnie St. Claire (born November 18, 1949 in Rozenburg , actually Bonje Cornelia Swart ) is a Dutch singer who was particularly successful in the late 1960s and 1970s .

In 1967 she released her first single, Tame Me, Tiger . Numerous other records followed in Dutch, German and English. The best-known titles in Germany include Kai-Uwe Schmidt , I know that I'm not an angel , In the Wuppertal suspension railway and Many cooks spoil the broth . In 1970 she covered a hit by Nina Lizell with Smoking in the woods is forbidden . In 1972 Bonnie St. Claire joined the group Unit Gloria , with whom she had some successes, including the title Clap Your Hands (and Stamp Your Feet) , which reached number 3 in the Dutch charts in December 1972 .
