Lautzenbrücken (dialect: Lautzebrick ) is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Bad Marienberg (Westerwald) community .
Geographical location
The community is located in the Westerwald between Limburg an der Lahn and Siegen .
The districts of the community are Lautzenbrücken, Hohensayn and Eisenkaute.
history
In 1262 the community was first mentioned as the Luytzebrucke .
In 1770 the Eisenkaute or Gutehoffnungshütte was first mentioned. This was closed in 1930.

The municipal council in Lautzenbrücken consists of eight council members, who were elected by a majority vote in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the honorary local mayor as chairman.

Karsten Lucke became the local mayor of Lautzenbrücken in 2014. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was confirmed in office for a further five years with 94.34% of the votes.

- description
The location of the place at the small nest is symbolized by the blue wave bar. The bridge refers to the basic word in the place name. The other symbols of the coat of arms symbolize the rich basalt deposits and the extensive forests in Lautzenbrücken. The coat of arms was created by the heraldist Albert Meinhardt on the basis of a draft of the local council and approved on October 19, 1981 by the district president Heinz Korbach .
