Dreisbach (dialect: Draasbich ) is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Bad Marienberg (Westerwald) community .

Geographical location

The community is located in the Westerwald between Limburg and Siegen . The Nister , which belongs to the catchment area of ​​the Sieg , flows in an east-west direction through the local area.

The residential areas Landhaus Daheim, Markushof, Hof Nistertal and Hof zur Hohen Linde belong to Dreisbach .

Since 1982 the Bikerparty Westerwald , one of the oldest and largest motorcycle meetings in Germany, has been held in Dreisbach every year on the first Saturday in August . Some editions of the events took place in the nearby towns of Fehl-Ritzhausen and Norken . Motorcyclists from all over Germany, some from neighboring countries, traditionally meet at the festival and tent site in Dreisbach. The 30th edition of the event in 2011 was headlined by the rock band Tito & Tarantula . On August 7, 2004, the German metal queen Doro Pesch attended the biker party. A few years later on August 1st, 2009, the German metal band Grave Digger played there.
