Görgeshausen is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Montabaur community .

Geographical location

The community is located in the Westerwald between Koblenz and Gießen on the edge of the Nassau Nature Park and borders the State of Hesse . The Hambach flows in the southern municipality .

Görgeshausen was first mentioned in 1290 as Gerinzhausen .
