Attractions

The Protestant Church

In Driedorf there are four lakes, a large one ( Driedorf reservoir ) and a small reservoir in the course of the Rehbach , the Heisterberger Weiher , which is also artificially dammed, and the Steinbruchsee im Winkel, a former basalt quarry that has filled with groundwater over the years and now half of the ASG Schönbach serves as fishing waters and the Hessian Diver Association as a diving area. The Krombachtalsperre lies between the municipalities of Driedorf and Rehe, the dam is in the area of the municipality of Driedorf.

After a fire in 1819 had destroyed almost the entire place, Driedorf was rebuilt. The straight road layout is striking. In the construction phase, the hall of the new Protestant parish church was built from 1821–1827 based on a design by state master builder Friedrich Ludwig Schrumpf .

There are two castle ruins in Driedorf. The Junkernschloss is a freely accessible ruin. The ruins of the upper castle Driedorf also exist .

To the north-west of the core town is the Höllberg , also called Höllkopf, with 643 m the highest mountain in the Lahn-Dill district and the Hessian Westerwald .
