Wolfgang Schuster (born March 15, 1958 in Dillenburg ) is the district administrator of the Lahn-Dill district .

The business administration graduate (FH) and graduate of the Federal University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration , at which he studied from 1983 to 1986, worked from 1973 to 1990 in the middle and upper non-technical service at the Deutsche Bundesbahn .

From 1990 to 1995 he was the official in charge of the Driedorf community and from January 1, 1996 to November 6, 2006 mayor of Driedorf.

Schuster has been a member of the SPD since 1973 . From 1988 to 2001 he was chairman of the local SPD association in Driedorf. Since 2001 he has been chairman of the SPD Lahn-Dill.

On April 23, 2006, Wolfgang Schuster was elected as the successor to Karl Ihmels (SPD) as district administrator of the Lahn-Dill district. In 2012 and 2018 he was elected for a long term (6 years).
