Winfried Becker (politician)
Winfried Becker (born November 3, 1960 in Marburg ) is a German local politician and the district administrator of the Schwalm-Eder district .
Life
Becker was born in Marburg. From 1989 to 2003 he was mayor of Guxhagen , where Becker still lives today. He is married and has three children. Becker was an active firefighter for the volunteer fire brigade in his home community for many years. He is also chairman of the DRK district association Schwalm-Eder .

Winfried Becker is a member of the SPD .
In 2003 he was elected full-time first district member of the Schwalm-Eder district. After Frank-Martin Neupärtl's death , Becker took over provisional management of the district office. In the district election on March 29, 2015, Becker prevailed against Mark Weinmeister with a turnout of 34.5% and 60.6% of the votes . His inauguration took place on May 18, 2015 as part of a district council meeting.
