Tamara Simunovic (* 1973 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

life and work

Tamara Simunovic is the daughter of Yugoslav immigrant workers. After finishing school, she began studying cartography, which she gave up in favor of an acting training at the Fritz Kirchhoff School in Berlin. During her training, which she completed from October 1994 to November 1997, she made her camera debut in 1994 in the Italian film Il Branco .

Tamara Simunovic has appeared in both cinema and television productions since then. On the screen she played in Jugofilm , an Austrian production from 1996, and in the 1999 film Snow on New Years Eve . In this film, she was nominated for the German Film Prize in 2000 for her portrayal of a lovesick and suicidal Russian woman . On television, Simunovic can often be seen in series such as Wolffs Revier , once Bulle, always Bulle , Wilsberg or Polizeiruf 110 . Between 2003 and 2010, she played the role of Superintendent Tina Buckhard at Ulrike Kriener's side in 11 episodes of the series Kommissarin Lucas .

Tamara Simunovic speaks German, Bosnian and Serbian as mother tongue as well as fluent Croatian. She has a daughter and lives in Berlin, where, in addition to acting, she runs a bar in the Steglitz district.
