The Driedorf dam is located approx. 500 m southwest of the municipality of Driedorf in the Lahn-Dill district and was built between 1932 and 1935 as a storage facility and retention basin. It serves as a working basin for the operation of the hydropower plants in the Rehbach Valley and dams the Rehbach, a tributary of the Dill. The barrier structure is L-shaped in plan, with an approximately 250 m long main dam arranged in the transverse direction of the valley, which on the south-eastern flank merges into a side dam that runs parallel to the valley and is approximately 200 m long.
