Rudolf Godbersen

Hans Erich Rudolf Godbersen (born January 12, 1882 in Landeck ; † October 29, 1927 ) was professor at the Hann. Münden .

Life

Rudolf Godbersen was born on January 12, 1882 in Landeck in West Prussia. The parents were the Royal Prussian Chief Forester Wilhelm Godbersen and Therese Steinhoff. He attended school in Frankfurt (Oder) , studied forest science in Hann. Münden and at the Eberswalde Forest Academy .

From 1918 he was assistant at the head forester's office in Dassel . After this station he took over the chief forestry in Driedorf . Godbersen headed the Bramwald Forestry Office from 1921 to 1927.

His predecessor at the Hann. Münden, Curt Michaelis, who had been teaching there since 1909, died on March 1, 1920. In September of that year he was appointed lecturer. In May 1926 he received his doctorate. Rudolf Godbersen taught a. a. Forest policy. He also offered forest teaching hikes.

On June 22, 1912 he married Katharina Schulz. Godbersen died of a heart attack on October 29, 1927.
