Heinz Korbach

Heinz Korbach (* 8. December 1921 in Koblenz-Pfaffendorf ; † 9. December 2004 in Koblenz ) was a German politician of the CDU from 1965 to 1973 District Administrator of the district Ahrweiler and 1973-1986 District President of the administrative district of Koblenz .

Life

Heinz Korbach completed elementary and commercial school and then completed a commercial apprenticeship. After working in business, he was a soldier during the Second World War from 1940 to 1945. From 1945 to 1947 he worked as a police officer in the Koblenz police headquarters.

Korbach was a founding member of the CDU in Koblenz and in 1947 became provisional state manager of the Junge Union . In 1948 he became a city councilor in Koblenz and from 1947 to 1960 state manager of the CDU. From 1951 to 1965 Heinz Korbach was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . He was mayor of Weißenthurm from 1960 to 1965 .

Korbach was district administrator in Ahrweiler for nine years and Korbach led the district government in Koblenz for 14 years.
