Egon Plumber

Egon Plümer (* 15. October 1940 in Essen ) was a German politician of the CDU from 1977 to September 28, 1988 District Administrator of the Rhineland-Palatinate district Ahrweiler .

Life and work

After attending a modern-language grammar school, Egon Plümer studied law and business administration at the University of Würzburg and the Free University of Berlin from 1961 to 1965. After the first state examination in 1965, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Administrative Law and Labor Law at the University of Würzburg active. After his legal clerkship, he did a doctorate in 1968 with a dissertation entitled “Constitutional foundations and legal nature of private school relationships”. 1970 passed the second state examination in law. Subsequently, Egon Plümer became a government assessor in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Culture. In 1973 he took over the management of the ministerial office and was personal advisor to the minister of education until 1976. Egon Plümer then moved to the Mainz State Chancellery , where he worked as a consultant in the Legislation and Administration Department. For several years Egon Plümer was also active as an association councilor in local politics.

After four months of provisional activity as district administrator, Egon Plümer was finally elected district administrator for the Ahrweiler district in the district assembly on July 7, 1977.

During his time as district administrator in the Ahrweiler district, Egon Plümer introduced his own district flag and a corresponding district coat of arms. During his tenure, he was very committed to the redesign of the Nürburgring .
