Oliver Schmidt (born September 14, 1973 in Berlin ) is a former German soccer player . He is the twin brother of Andreas Schmidt .

The defender came in 1991 from SC Siemensstadt to the amateurs of Hertha BSC , where he played in the first team within a year. He was a member of the Hertha BSC amateur team, which made it to the finals against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 1993 DFB Cup and lost 1-0 there.
