Sven Kaiser (born August 27, 1973 in East Berlin ) is a former German soccer player .

Player career

Sven Kaiser started playing football in 1982 at the company sports association (BSG) Mechanisierung Köpenick , before he was delegated to 1. FC Union Berlin in 1987 . Here he developed into a youth national player and in 1990 took part in the U-16 European Football Championship in his own country, where he was used in all three games. For the season 1990/91 the change took place in the A-youth of Hertha BSC . From the 1992/93 season Kaiser first played for the Herthaners in the amateur team, but was substituted on three times by coach Günter Sebert in the professional team in the final phase of the 1992/93 second division season . In the same season he reached the DFB Cup final as a regular with the second team, the so-called Hertha-Bubis , which was ultimately lost 1-0 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen . Under Uwe Reinders Kaiser was not used at all for the professionals in the 1993/94 season . It was only when Karsten Heine took over the position of coach that Kaiser returned to games. But he also had a difficult time under Heine. In 1995/96 Kaiser was substituted on four times in the first five games, but after that he never got a chance.

Sven Kaiser then moved to FC Sachsen Leipzig in the Regionalliga Nordost in the winter of 1996 . With the Leipzigers , Sven Kaiser initially took 6th and 9th place. In the 1997/98 season , Saxony played for promotion and ended up fourth.

In 1998 Sven Kaiser signed a contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena , who had just been relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga. After a ninth place in the first season, Kaiser reached 4th place with Jena in 1999/2000 , which entitles them to participate in the newly founded, two-track regional league.

Then Sven Kaiser returned to Berlin and went to Lichtenberg 47 , who had just been promoted to the league . He stayed with Lichtenberg for five years before Sven Kaiser ended his playing career in 2005 with the lower class SSV Köpenick-Oberspree .
