Peter Frymuth (born December 14, 1956 in Düsseldorf ) is a German football official . He is currently Vice President of the German Football Association , President of the West German Football Association and President of the Lower Rhine Football Association .

Career

Since the 1970s, Frymuth has held changing positions in the Niederrhein Football Association (FVN) and the West German Football and Athletics Association (WFLV). In December 2006 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his voluntary work in youth and amateur football . In 2013 Frymuth was elected President of the FVN and Vice President of the WFLV.

From November 2004 to January 2014, Frymuth was CEO of Fortuna Düsseldorf . During this time the club consolidated itself financially and rose from the 3rd division to the Bundesliga . In 2014 he was named Düsseldorf of the Year in the Sports category for his services .

Since October 25, 2013, as Vice President, he has also been a member of the DFB Presidium. There he is responsible for “match operations and football development”.

Frymuth works full-time as the head of District Administration 8 in the Eller district of Düsseldorf .

Private

Frymuth comes from Düsseldorf - Lohausen . In his youth he played football himself at Lohausener SV . He is married and has two children.
