B-Junior Bundesliga 2008/09
The B-Junioren-Bundesliga 2008/09 was the second season of the B-Junioren-Bundesliga .
As in the 2007/08 premiere season, it was played in the North / Northeast, South / Southwest and West seasons based on the model of the A-Junior Bundesliga , which was introduced in 2003 . At the end of the season, the three season winners and the runner-up of the south / south-west season played for the German B-youth championship. The semi-finals were played back and forth, the final in one game. The three last-placed teams of the three seasons relegated to the subordinate leagues. As the reigning U-17 champions who went TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the season.
The champions of the B-Junioren-Bundesliga became VfB Stuttgart , who prevailed against FC Bayern Munich in the final .

As the season winners of the B-Youth Regional Leagues North and Northeast in the preseason, FC St. Pauli and Hertha Zehlendorf take part as direct climbers in the B-Junior Bundesliga. The runners-up of both seasons, the SC Concordia from Hamburg and the FC Carl Zeiss Jena, played the third climber in a relegation , whereby Concordia finally reached the B-Junior Bundesliga. Thus, both Hamburg and Berlin are represented with three clubs each in the relay.

As direct climbers from the subordinate leagues, SpVgg Greuther Fürth came from the B-Youth Bayern League and SSV Ulm 1846 from the B-Youth Upper League Baden-Württemberg in the B-Junior Bundesliga. The promotion aspirants of the B-Youth Regionalliga Südwest and the B-Youth-Oberliga Hessen played the third climber in a relegation , with the Hessian representative Kickers Offenbach prevailing against the Südwest-Verein Eintracht Trier. After the relegation of the Stuttgarter Kickers in the preseason, Munich is represented with Bavaria and in 1860 the only city with two clubs in the relay.

From the subordinate leagues, Sportfreunde Troisdorf rose as a representative of the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Mittelrhein, Wuppertaler SV Borussia as a representative of the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Niederrhein and Eintracht Dortmund from the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Westfalen to the B-Juniors-Bundesliga . Thus Dortmund is the only city with two clubs in the relay.
