Jovana Damnjanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јована Дамњановић ; born November 24, 1994 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian soccer player .
Career
societies
Damnjanović, who played football for FC Perspektiva as a youth , later moved to the first division club ŽFK Red Star Belgrade . At the end of the 2012/13 season she reached second place with her team in the Prva Ženska Liga , the top division in Serbian women's football. In 2012 she reached the cup final with her team, which however was lost 2-1 after extra time against ŽFK Spartak Subotica .
In the summer of 2013 she signed the Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg . On September 7, 2013 (1st matchday), she made her debut in a 1-1 draw in the home game against FC Bayern Munich with a substitute for Martina Müller in the 73rd minute in the Bundesliga. After two seasons, she moved to league rivals SC Sand in the summer of 2015 . On March 10, 2017, she signed a contract with the German champions FC Bayern Munich that was valid from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2020 . She made her Bundesliga debut for FC Bayern Munich on November 5, 2017 (7th matchday) in a 3-1 win at home against MSV Duisburg , substituting for Lucie Voňková in the 62nd minute.
In April 2019, Damnjanovic extended her contract with FC Bayern until 2022.
National team
On February 23, 2010, at the age of 15, she made her debut in the senior national team in a test international match against Hungary , which was lost 1-0. She was substituted on in the 57th minute of the game.
Damnjanović took part in the U-19 European Championship held from July 2 to 14, 2012 in Turkey , but retired with her team after the preliminary round from the tournament. In qualifying for the U-19 European Championship in 2013 , she was the most successful goalscorer with 14 goals, but could not qualify for the finals with her team.
