Jens Scheuer (born October 12, 1978 in Offenburg ) is a German football player and coach .

Soccer

The trained central defender played until the 2001 season at Offenburger FV in the youth team. From there he moved to SC Freiburg , where he went through the youth under coach Christian Streich and played alongside Tobias Willi and Ali Günes , among others . Scheuer moved back from SC Freiburg to the Offenburg FV. This was followed by seven years with Bahlinger SC in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . He then moved to FC Bötzingen in the Association League South Baden , where he also began his coaching career.

Trainer

Scheuer began his coaching career as a player coach in the Association League, at FC Bötzingen. There followed two years in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg at Bahlinger SC before he returned to Bötzingen. After he had suspended in the 2014/15 season, he was signed for the 2015/16 season as the successor to Dietmar Sehrig for the women's Bundesliga team of SC Freiburg . For the 2019/2020 season he moved to runner-up FC Bayern Munich .

Personal

Scheuer lives in Bahlingen, is married and has two sons. In addition to his career as a coach, he works at the Badischer Sportbund in Freiburg in the department of training instructors for teaching.
