Dietmar Sehrig (born October 7, 1961 ) is a German football coach .

Career

Sehrig played as a goalkeeper at SC Geislingen . Later he worked in Geislingen as a youth coach and later as a coach of the league team. Between 2001 and 2004 he trained for the first time in the women's division at FV Faurndau ( Oberliga Baden-Württemberg ). In 2005 he finally became the coach of the women's Bundesliga club SC Freiburg . He held this office until October 12, 2007, before the club separated from him after a failed start to the season as bottom of the table. In February 2008, the second division VfL Sindelfingen signed Sehrig as the successor to Günter Rommel. From July 2008 to September 8, 2008 he was the coach of the upper division soccer club VfL Kirchheim. Since winter 08/09 coach of VfR Süssen. In the 2012/13 season he was the trainer of FFV Heidenheim, which played with him in the state league and just missed promotion to the association league. For the 2013/14 season, Sehrig took over the coaching position for the women's Bundesliga team at SC Freiburg. On February 4, 2015, Sehrig announced his retirement as a trainer on June 30, 2015.

Private

Sehrig is married and has three children. He has been a police officer since 1979. Sehrig currently lives in Heidenheim.
