Mandy Islacker (born August 8, 1988 in Essen ) is a German soccer player . The national player and two-time Bundesliga shooter queen has been playing for the second division club 1. FC Köln since the 2020/21 season .

Career

Islacker started playing football when she was four years old in the "mini kicker team" of BV Altenessen 06 , which was trained by her father. Via the Essener Sportgemeinschaft 99/06 she got to the Sportgemeinschaft Essen-Schönebeck and in 2004, at the age of 16, to FCR 2001 Duisburg , for which she won the 6-0 away game against VfL on September 5, 2004 (1st matchday) Wolfsburg made their debut in the Bundesliga. In her first Bundesliga season she played 14 games and scored her first of three goals on September 19, 2004 (3rd matchday) with the goal to make it 7-0 in the away game against FSV Frankfurt . For the 2007/08 season , Islacker moved to Bayern Munich , with whom she was second in the championship the following season and also played six games for the second team in the Regionalliga . In 2010/11 Islacker returned to FCR 2001 Duisburg.

In 2013/14 Islacker joined the newly promoted BV Cloppenburg . She made her debut for BV Cloppenburg on September 8, 2013 (1st matchday) in a 3: 3 away game against SGS Essen , in which she scored the next goal to make it 2: 3 in the 87th minute. After a season in which she had scored 12 goals in 21 games, she left the club.

She moved to 1. FFC Frankfurt on June 30, 2014 , for whom she made her debut in the away game against Bayern Munich on August 31, 2014 (1st matchday) and scored the goal to make it 1-0 in the seventh minute. In the final of the Champions League 2014/15 , after being substituted on in the 66th minute, she scored the winning goal to make it 2-1 shortly before the end. Your new contract with 1. FFC Frankfurt was valid until June 30, 2018. On July 11, 2017, however, she agreed with the FFC to terminate the contract early and returned after seven years to FC Bayern Munich , where she signed a contract that was valid until June 30, 2020.

On May 15, 2020 it was announced that 1. FC Köln Islacker had signed up for the new 2020/21 season.

National team

Islacker made her debut at the age of 15 in the U-15 national team , in which she also scored two goals in her two international matches . A year later, she also completed two international matches in Clairefontaine , this time for the U-17 national team . In both matches with France, 3-2 on October 26th and 3-0 on October 29, 2004, she was substituted on and off once.

On October 22, 2015, she crowned her debut in the senior national team in a 2-0 victory in the European Championship qualifier over the national team of Russia with her first international goal, the 1-0 opening goal.

In 2016 she was accepted into the national team for the women's Olympic football tournament in Brazil. During the six tournament games she was used three times (including two substitutions). By beating Sweden 2-1 in the final , she won the gold medal. For this she was awarded the silver bay leaf on November 1, 2016 .

At the beginning of July 2017, Islacker was appointed by national coach Steffi Jones to the DFB squad for the 2017 European Women's Football Championship in the Netherlands . Here she was used in all four games, but remained without a goal.

Islacker comes from a family with a footballing tradition: Franz Islacker , her grandfather, a former player from Rot-Weiss Essen , won the DFB Cup in 1953 and German champion in 1955 ; her father Frank played three Bundesliga games for VfL Bochum in the 1982/83 season .

Islacker trained as an office communications clerk at Deutsche Telekom .
