Emily van Egmond (born July 12, 1993 in Newcastle , New South Wales ) is an Australian football player . She is the daughter of the Australian soccer player and coach Gary van Egmond .
Career
society
From 2008 to 2011 van Egmond played for the W-League participants Newcastle United Jets and Canberra United before moving to the Danish club Fortuna Hjørring . In the following year, however, she returned to Newcastle. There she played until 2013, interrupted by a brief engagement in the summer of 2012 with Western New York Flash in the WPSL Elite .
In July 2013, van Egmond moved to Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL . After the end of the NWSL season, she returned to Australia and joined the Western Sydney Wanderers for a season . Then van Egmond returned to the US and played ten games for the Chicago Red Stars . After the end of the 2014 season, van Egmond was released from the Red Stars and then returned to the Newcastle United Jets.
On June 12, 2015 van Egmond signed a one-year contract with the UEFA Women's Champions League winner 2015 and women's Bundesliga club 1. FFC Frankfurt . In her first season for the Hessians, she completed 17 Bundesliga games and scored one goal. After the end of her contract in June 2016, she left the club and moved to league rivals VfL Wolfsburg at the end of August . There she signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2018.
National team
In 2010 van Egmond made his debut in the Australian national team and played at the 2011 World Championships in Germany and 2015 in Canada .
