Shelina Laura Zadorsky (born October 24, 1992 in London , Ontario ) is a Canadian national soccer player .
Career
societies
During her studies at the University of Michigan , Zadorsky played for the Michigan Wolverines university team there from 2010 to 2013 and also played for the W-League franchises of the Toronto Lady Lynx and Ottawa Fury Women . For the 2014 season, she moved to the Australian first division club Perth Glory , with whom she finished the regular season first, but lost to Canberra United FC in the final of the Australian championship . After a year with the Swedish first division club Vittsjö GIK , she switched to the Washington Spirit franchise in the National Women's Soccer League in early 2016 . For the 2018 season, Zadorsky moved on to the Orlando Pride franchise in exchange for Aubrey Bledsoe .
National team
From 2008 Zadorsky went through the Canadian junior national teams in the U-17 and U-20 age groups and took part in the U-17 World Cup in 2008 and the U-20 World Cup in 2012 . On January 14, 2013, she came as part of the annual four-nation tournament against South Korea for her first international match. After the 2015 World Cup, for which she was not considered, she took part with the U-23 team in the 2015 Pan American Games in her home country, where the Canadians finished fourth. In December 2015, she then took part with the senior national team in the four -nation tournament in Brazil , in which Canada finished second. She was also on the roster for the 2016 Summer Olympics qualifier , where Canada qualified for the Olympics. She was used in all games and was always in the starting line-up. At the subsequent Algarve Cup in 2016 , she scored her first international goal in a 2-1 final win over Brazil . At the Olympic Games, she was used in two group games and the three games of the knockout round, after which Canada won the bronze medal. She was also nominated for the 2019 World Cup. She was used in the Canadians' four games and did not miss a minute, but was eliminated with her team against the later third Sweden in the round of 16.
