Aubrey Renee Bledsoe (born November 20, 1991 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2018 season .
Career
society
Bledsoe played during her studies at Wake Forest University from 2010 to 2013 for the local team of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons . With the newly formed franchise the Los Angeles Blues won the championship in the 2014 semi-pro W-League and then moved to the Norwegian Erstligaaufsteiger IK Grand Bodø . For the 2015 season she signed a contract with NWSL participant Sky Blue FC , where she took the place of the resigned national goalkeeper Jillian Loyden . In September 2015, she was loaned to the Danish first division club Fortuna Hjørring until the start of the 2016 season and moved to the newcomer Orlando Pride after her return to the United States . After a detour to the Australian first division club Sydney FC , Bledsoe moved on to the Washington Spirit franchise for the 2018 season in exchange for Shelina Zadorsky .
National team
Bledsoe took part in a training camp for the US U-18 national team at the beginning of 2010 and played their only international match for the US U-23s on March 3, 2014 as part of the four-nation tournament in La Manga .
