Ashley Hatch (born May 25, 1995 in Gilbert , Arizona ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2018 season .
Career
society
During her studies at Brigham Young University in Provo , Hatch played from 2013 to 2016 for the local university team BYU Cougars , for which she scored a total of 47 goals and provided 21 assists. In early 2017, Hatch was signed in second place by North Carolina Courage in the first round of the NWSL's college draft . She made her league debut on April 22, 2017 in a 1-0 home win over Portland Thorns FC .
At the end of the season, Hatch was named Rookie of the Year in the NWSL after scoring a total of seven goals in 22 appearances and thus making a decisive contribution to winning the NWSL Shield by her team. After a several month loan to the Australian first division club Melbourne City FC , she moved to the Washington Spirit franchise together with her teammate Taylor Smith .
National team
On October 19, 2016, Hatch made his senior national team debut in a friendly against Switzerland .
In 2017, she played a tournament in Sweden with the U-23 national team of the US Football Association .
